EA crossed $4.3 billion net revenue mark

EA report toreachat $4.3 billion net revenue mark in its fourth-quarter.

In its fourth-quarter financial report to investors, EA reported net revenue of $4.3 billion USD for its fiscal year. Over half of that revenue, $2.2 billion came from the digital products, a record for the company.

Revenue from digital products saw an increase of 25% year over year. Full game downloads, mobile, and subscriptions helped increase digital revenue but the lion's share belonged to the category "extra content," which saw revenue in Q4 of $265 million.

EA CEO Andrew Wilson called 2015 an "exceptional year" for the company. "We introduced award-winning games, delivered enduring entertainment in our live services, and forged deeper relationships with a growing global audience," all of which helped to push EA to be the number one publisher on both PS4 and Xbox One.

Mobile also had a strong showing for EA with player engagement. According to the company, The Simpsons:Tapped Out averaged "more than 16 million monthly players" throughout the year.

Total mobile users for EA mobile games in Q4 alone totalled 165 million monthly active users.

During the call, EA looked forward to the future, touching on Star Wars Battlefront, a new Need for Speed, and for early next year, a new Mirror's Edge.
