The 15-inch MacBook Pro also features increased processor speed. The MacBook’s new graphics chip is the Radeon R9 M370X made by Advanced Micro Devices. It replaces the Nvidia GeForce GT 750M. AMD's chip is able render 3D images or run video-editing programs about 80 percent faster, according to Apple.<br /> <br /> The iMac builds on the Retina 5K display introduced last year. The new model’s big selling point is a new super-high-resolution display. It has a 3.3 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost Speeds of up to 3.7 GHz. In addition to the Intel Core i5 system, the new iMac comes with an AMD Radeon R9 M290 graphics processor. The AMD is a 22-nanometer Haswell part, the same as the one that powers the higher-end 5K iMacs.<br /> <br /> The new iMac includes 8 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage, four USB 3.0 ports and two Thunderbolt 2 ports. The higher-end iMac has a 3.5 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with Turbo Boost Speeds of up to 3.9 GHz, along with a 1 TB fusion drive that combines flash memory with a traditional hard disk drive.
